Musk called the condition for the resumption of the deal to buy Twitter
Elon Musk said he agreed to buy Twitter if the social network provides evidence of the authenticity of the accounts it verified. In July, he announced that he was pulling out of the deal because Twitter did not want to disclose the number of bots.
«If Twitter simply provides their method of sampling 100 accounts and how they’re confirmed to be real, the deal should proceed on original terms. However, if it turns out that their SEC filings are materially false, then it should not.», — Musk wrote on Twitter.
In mid-July, Twitter filed a lawsuit to force the businessman to complete the purchase of the company. A court hearing is scheduled for October. Twitter calls the billionaire’s pretexts to withdraw from the agreement “a fictional story for the trial that contradicts evidence and common sense.”
